Luther’s Three Marks by Pastor Jeff Cloeter

One of the great tenets of the 16th century Reformation was sola Scriptura – Scripture alone.  The word of God is the ultimate source for our life and faith.  In the word of God, Martin Luther rediscovered the gospel, God’s powerful action to release us from the burden of our sin because of Jesus Christ. 

Today, we learn a contemplative practice from Martin Luther, a way in which he approached the word of God.  

Today we also rejoice with our 7th grade confirmands who will receive their first communion. We are eager to have our young people receive Jesus’ body and blood.
