Humanitri

Humanitri is a St. Louis-based social service organization that seeks to move families and individuals from crisis and uncertainty to stability and self-sufficiency. The organization often connects with clients during some of the darkest times in their lives. The Humanitri staff walks alongside these clients, providing for their needs and teaching them new skills.

Reliant and Christ Memorial at times help collect furniture or help with home maintenance, but we especially focus on building relationships with those families in Humanitri’s programs. We also conduct fundraising events on Humanitri’s behalf and support the organization’s internal operations.

Christian Friends of New Americans

Christian Friends of New Americans (CFNA) is an outreach ministry serving refugees and new immigrants in the St. Louis area. Their mission is to be involved in relationships with New Americans with whom they can share the Gospel through caring words and actions. This takes place from through after school tutoring, special outreach events for the kids of CFNA, English conversation groups, adn more.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church

Bethlehem Lutheran Church is a St. Louis congregation that seeks to mold believers and influence the world. They make significant impact on their immediate community through a variety of after school programs and youth sports, its work through The Hope Center for families, and much more. Christ Memorial and Reliant partner with Bethlehem to aid these programs and provide support to the church and surrounding community.

Bridge City Community

Bridge City Community in Chattanooga, TN lives by the following mission statement: Act Justly. Love mercy. Walk humbly. Embrace lament. Pursue repair. Their work is significant because it is locally effective and nationally unique within the landscape of the LCMS. They believe that their expertise in applying a Scripturally faithful interpretation of the Kingdom of God into our community and culture is not only a mandated aspect of discipleship but could equip and empower the broader Church.

International Student Ministry

International Student Ministry St. Louis, in partnership with local LCMS volunteers, demonstrates God’s love and shares the Good News of Jesus with international students and their families that attend St. Louis area colleges and universities. Their motto is: Share yourselves, share Christ. Eight thousand international students come to St. Louis each year. They bring 3,000 family members with them. Most of the students that ISM interacts with are not Christian, and the organization reaches them through a variety of ways including furniture giveaways, cultural events, English conversation groups, and more.

Lutheran Development Group

LDG pursues holistic community development for the neighborhoods we serve through real-estate development, capacity building for local organizations, community building, and direct service coordination. Efforts are underway to reduce blight and increase the economic prosperity of the community. If residents receive support that provides greater stability which reduces transiency from a neighborhood that in turn is providing greater opportunity, then the change is more profound.

LINC Bay Area

LINC exists to empower local leaders to impact their communities through the Gospel. They are dedicated to raising up leaders so that our cities know Jesus and walking with those leaders long-term so they can lead healthy lives and fruitful ministries.

For the leaders in the Bay Area, the desire to connect with their community is present but they need a guide to make meaningful and sustained connections. At LINC Bay Area they believe working with others leads to greater and lasting impact.

WordRus

The vision of WordRus is that all people, including all whose native tongue is in the Russian or other Slavic languages, whether Jew or Gentile, might hear the saving Gospel of Messiah Yeshu’a and be brought to saving faith by God’s grace in Messiah’s death and resurrection, for all. They work to support worldwide mission with those who share our values, mission, and vision, including partners such as The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria in Russia, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia, the Independent Lutheran Church of Germany (SELK), and the Norwegian Church Ministry to Israel; also Lutheran Hour Ministries, Lutheran Heritage Foundation, the Caspari Center (Jerusalem), Finish Friends of Israel, and various pastors and congregations who provide solid theological materials and support.
