February is Mission Month. One goal for Mission Month is that EVERY MEMBER prays daily for mission.

January 30 – February 5
- Sunday January 30
For Missions Month, for our congregations, and for all of our mission partners, that the Holy Spirit would stir up God’s people to prayer and action, that the name of Jesus would be lifted high and that many would come to know and trust in Him. - Monday January 31
For Geordie Denholm and the core leadership of Jefferson Avenue Mission — that they would discern and plan accordingly to God’s will for the future. - Tuesday February 1
Heavenly Father, strengthen your servants Charles and Michael to continue the ministry with African children and CFNA. Grant them wisdom, stamina, and courage as they balance this work with their college studies. - Wednesday February 2
For CFNA’s service and outreach among Afghan refugees being resettled in St. Louis, that the Holy Spirit would animate its staff and followers to welcome these new neighbors in the name of Jesus. - Thursday February 3
Thank you Father for the work of the Lutheran Development Group and the opportunity to love our neighbors in the Dutchtown and Baden neighborhoods. Bless and continue the fruit from these efforts that your name may be glorified. - Friday February 4
For International Students Mission, that God would grant the same access to students as they enjoyed prior to the pandemic. - Saturday February 5
Spirit of the Living God, open my eyes to see the opportunities you have placed before me to connect with people who don’t know or who have walked away from Jesus.
February 6 – February 12

For the families in Humanitri programs, that God would grant them strength and encouragement to make sustainable life change. - Monday February 7
For the “peace of Jerusalem” and WORDrus missionaries Nickolai Haskin and his wife Galina, that the Gospel may be shared with all and cross of Jesus would bring peace with God. - Tuesday February 8
Thank you Father for the many mission teams from local Lutheran congregations who are serving as “support groups” for newly arriving Afghan families. Bless their work and service and create opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. - Wednesday February 9
For the members of Jefferson Avenue Mission as they spread hope in their homes, with their work, and through their craft. - Thursday February 10
Holy Spirit, stir up the hearts of the African youth in our city, that they may find their purpose in life, serve others, and follow Jesus without distraction. Open doors for many youth to come and hear of you, the Living God and your loving will for them. - Friday February 11
For International Students Mission and the Friendship Family Program, that both the families and the students might feel safe meeting, that relationships would be built, and that Jesus would be shared. - Saturday February 12
For future ministry in the Dutchtown and Baden neighborhoods. May God raise up more leaders in the community to work alongside one another on mission for Him and showing His love through their service.
February 13 – February 19

For International Students Mission, that our Gracious Father would look with mercy on their board president being treated for cancer. - Monday February 14
Heavenly Father, give me a readiness to listen with empathy and understanding to people who may be open to what you are offering. And grant me confidence to know when to speak. - Tuesday February 15
For the Humanitri staff who walk alongside families to make sure needs are met and goals are achieved, that the fruit of the Spirit would be evident in their work. - Wednesday February 16
For WORDrus missionaries Rev. Alley Shepelev and Nicolai Haskin, that the Gospel may be proclaimed among Slavic speakers in Israel and Russia, first the Jew and then the Gentile. - Thursday February 17
For community partners using the mission building — that Jefferson Ave. Mission would be a safe space for all to gather. - Friday February 18
For the staff and volunteers of CFNA, that together they may actualize various service opportunities for refugees in St. Louis. - Saturday February 19
For the work of the Lutheran Development Group, their employees, and community partners, that they might be sustained as they work to bring health and vibrancy to under-resourced neighborhoods in our city.
February 20 – February 26
- Sunday February 20
For International Students Mission, that the Holy Spirit would work through the Sunday night bible study with international students to reveal Jesus and the Gospel. - Monday February 21
For EAGLE Fox Park — that the students, teachers, and administration would see the love of Christ through the love of the Church. - Tuesday February 22
Merciful Father, look with compassion on Charles’ family, especially his brother John. Lead John back to you and away from reckless living. Grant peace to Charles, his mother and all of his family that John is under your watchful eye and in your strong and merciful hands. - Wednesday February 23
Lord Jesus, increase my love for those who are not like me. Show me how to expand my friendships and acquaintances to include those of other faiths, other backgrounds, other issues and concerns. Give me your love for all people. - Thursday February 24
For Humanitri’s leadership and board that they would work diligently to strengthen and support families, empower staff, and remove obstacles to mission accomplishment. - Friday February 25
For WORDrus ministries and their digital platforms – two internet radio stations, children’s Gospel music in Hebrew and Russian, and newly launched YouTube Bible studies in Russian and Ukrainian. That the Spirit would use these platforms to bring many to faith. - Saturday February 26
Holy Spirit, move among your people that many individuals, families, and congregations might answer your call to bless and serve our new neighbors.
February 27 – March 1
- Sunday February 27
Spirit of the Living God, send workers into the harvest field of the African Ministry. Move us to prayer, preparing and serving food, transporting children, and teaching the Bible. Receive our service and use it to bless the African Ministry. - Monday February 28
Merciful Father, restore our city. Where there was brokenness, bring health. Where there was despair, bring hope. Where there is death, bring new life. May our city and region be so transformed, that there is no mistake that it was your hand that did these things. And may all turn and give you praise. - Tuesday March 1
Lord Jesus, you are the vine. We are the branches. Apart from you, we can do nothing. Receive all of the prayers, words spoken, and service given during Mission Month. Multiply it, Lord, that the seeds which have been sown may bear much fruit.
