Light has Come

From long ago, God’s people have hoped in the promise that God himself would visit them, ushering in a new age of peace, joy, and his steadfast love. In the face of sin, exile, and oppression, hope waned and the darkness grew. But then, in the fullness of time, the promise was kept. God himself visited his people. Jesus Christ, the Light of the World came.

2020 has been a year low on hope and peace. Joy is an afterthought and love has perhaps grown cold. The world has again grown dark. But God has not forgotten his promises. The Light has come. Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love have come. And the Light is coming again.

Advent Midweek Services

Week 1 (12/2/20)

Each Wednesday, we offer a pre-recorded service that aligns with the Advent weekly theme. While we cannot gather in person for midweek services this year, we hope that you’ll join us from your own homes. This week, for the first week of Advent, our theme is hope.

The Daily Pattern is a short order for daily prayer and devotion.  It follows a historic Christian liturgy of invocation, prayer, confession, and word.  Each day focuses on a particular life setting, or vocation. It aligns with our Light Has Come Advent series and serves as a supplement in your devotions.

You can access written content here or download the daily podcast version wherever you get your podcasts (search The Daily Pattern).
