The Body Week 1

June 8/9

The Body by Pastor Nathan Schultz

The apostle Paul speaks in a mysterious way when he describes the church. He calls the church, “the body.” A body has parts, each of which are important and meant to work together for the good of one another. The body is a picture of how our new life in Christ works.

Just like our physical bodies, the Body of Christ has aches and pains. The church in Corinth struggled to live together.  There was division, self-promotion, and competition, all at the expense of one another. We experience the same aches and pains in the church today.

This summer, we will explore a Letter Paul wrote to the church in Corinth.  We take time to rest, reflect, and learn what our life together as “the body” means.
