Righteous Risk

Righteous Risk by Pastor Jeff Cloeter
When you’ve experienced the risen Jesus, you can never be the same. In a world of turmoil and trouble, we’re tempted to retreat. Hold back. Cling to comfort and safety. Today we see in the Scripture readings God’s undeniable call to “righteous risk.” Jesus prayed for us, not that we would be withdrawn from the world, but sent into it (John 17:15,18). The early disciples moved from a locked room into worldwide witness of the resurrection (Acts 1:8,22). What does “righteous risk” mean for your life?
Today we also celebrate the vocation of motherhood in all its forms. We thank God for mothers, grandmothers, and all godly women who bless our lives.
