Sixth Sunday after Pentecost by Pastor Nathan Schultz

At Reliant and Christ Memorial, we live by two guiding words: Loved and Sent. One way we live out these values is through our role as a teaching congregation. This year, we welcome Vicar Meseret Gobena into our ministry. He comes to both learn and contribute meaningfully to the life of our congregation.

Meseret knows he is loved—by God and by this community. He will, in turn, preach and teach the deep love of Jesus to us. He also understands what it means to be sent. His journey is shaped by the faithfulness of many who have supported him along the way, and by God’s own faithfulness that has brought him to St. Louis to prepare for pastoral ministry.

During his time with us, he will grow in experience and readiness to serve. We are grateful for this season with him and eagerly anticipate the day he will be sent to care for a congregation.
