Advent

Vespers – 7PM

Advent 1, December 6:
“You Have My Word”
God’s biggest promise in John’s introduc- tion to his gospel is this— “You have my word!” If John’s rst eighteen verses are about anything, they are about the Word. God’s Word. God’s Word who is Jesus Christ. We have God’s Word!

Advent 2, December 13:
“A Man Named John”
The biggest bully on the block of life is a liar and the father of lies. We know him as the devil and Satan. And Satan hit us with his lies and rubs our face in our dirt. That’s why God sent a man named John— John the Baptist.
